Greece’s inter-island airline Cycladic recently kicked off its new flight schedule and is aiming to offer year round direct transport from island to island for residents and tourists.
The Greek Shipping Ministry will allocate 33.7 million euros to support island entrepreneurship and coastal shipping in the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Discounts for island residents, under the so-called "transport equivalent” program - known as “metaforiko isodynamo” (MI) - have now been extended to air travel.
Air travel will be included in Greece's transport equivalent program, which offers special discounts for the transportation of goods and people to/from 49 remote Greek islands.
All Greek island residents can now claim transportation discounts as part of the “transport equivalent” measure, according to an announcement by the shipping ministry.
Enterprises, based on the Greek islands that are eligible to receive the "transport equivalent" discount for the transportation of goods, can now register online at www.etaforikoisodynamo.gr.
