The approval by the EUIPO of the term ‘Turkaegean’ to be used as a trademark by Turkey for its tourism campaigns sparked an angered reaction in Greece.
"We have been clear on the consequences of a possible denial regarding visa liberalization... Turkey cannot continue on its own to stop irregular migration toward the EU while the EU does not assume its obligations", Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said in a recent interview.
