Metaxa Hospitality Group’s Hotels Open for Summer 2024 Season
Metaxa Hospitality Group, a Greek company renowned for providing high-end experiences, has announced the opening of its two premium beachfront resorts on Crete, along with its unique collection of luxury all-suite hotels and villas on Santorini for the summer season.
“With optimism and faith in the potential of Greek tourism, we have once again opened our hotels in Crete and Santorini this year,” said Metaxa Hospitality Group CEO Andreas Metaxas.
In Heraklion, on the island of Crete, the Group has reopened the 5-star Creta Maris Resort, offering authentic Cretan experiences for couples and families, with a focus on high-quality service and gastronomy beneath the Greek sun.
Additionally, the TUI Magic Life Candia Maris hotel in Ammoudara, Crete, is once again welcoming guests to its luxurious facilities, featuring a range of sports activities and gourmet experiences exclusively for adults during the season.
On Santorini, the group is elevating the island’s tourism offering with the Santo Collection Resorts & Villas, a collection of sustainable luxury hotels and private villas in Oia. This includes:
– the new 5-star hotel Santo Mine Oia Suites, featuring 37 suites that embody the vibrant energy of life; and
– the Santo Pure Oia Suites & Villas, which has expanded to include 83 suites and two villas, inspired by Santorini’s unique atmosphere, following the addition of 20 new suites.
Both hotels opened their doors on April 20, while The Villas by Santo Collection will commence operations in May, offering two luxurious villas.
Dedicated to sustainable hospitality, the Metaxa Group currently has three ongoing projects aimed at promoting sustainable agriculture and providing sustainability-based training for partners and suppliers.”

Furthermore, in collaboration with the Agricultural Association of the Lassithi Plateau, the group oversees the project “Regenerative Agriculture for the Lassithi Plateau and its People: Towards a Sustainable Food Destination.” This initiative aims to promote regenerative agriculture in the region, fostering the growth of the local community and enhancing environmental sustainability.
