Greece’s ‘Rodos Week’ to Offer Free Stays to Last Year’s Rhodes Tourists
Travelers who were forced to flee Rhodes in July 2023 due to the destructive fires last summer will be eligible for free accommodation under the Greek Tourism Ministry’s ‘Rodos Week’ initiative announced this week.
More specifically, the ministry will cover the cost of six overnight stays on Rhodes in spring from April 10 to May 31 and in or autumn between October 10 and November 15.
The program is open to all tourists who were evacuated from hotels on Rhodes when the fire broke out in July 2023. Eligible parties will be able to choose free accommodation in hotels of the same category and room class.
Once approved, e-vouchers will be made available through a specified application.
Approval of applications is based on a register of names collected by impacted hotels and travel agents. The applications will be verified for accuracy and validity.
Those who are not on the official hotel/travel agent list but were affected by the Rhodes fires can also apply through to April 4, providing details of their accommodation, including proof of last year’s booking from their travel agent.
