Greek Small Winemakers 2024 Exhibition at Technopolis, Athens
The 5th Wine Exhibition “Small Winemakers 2024” will open its doors for two days at the Technopolis City of Athens cultural venue to professionals in the field and the wine loving public.
Organized by the Artisanal Wineries of Greece Association (SMOE), under the auspices of the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO), the exhibition will see small wineries from all over Greece presenting their wines in Athens at the venue’s Michanourgeio Hall during February 11–12, from 11 am to 7 pm.
Greece’s wine tradition will be at the center of this year’s exhibition, during which 52 small wineries from Thrace, Thessaly, Peloponnese, Macedonia, Central Greece, and the islands will represent their new production of wines.
According to the organizer, the exhibition will aim to inform about the Greek terroirs and the variety of wines, looking to attract foreign visitors with special interests in thematic tourism.
The small wineries taking part in the exhibition will introduce their products and highlight their quality and excellent raw materials – elements that make the identity of wine strongly linked to the region, the land, and the personalities of the people who reside near.
During the Small Winemakers 2024 exhibition, visitors will have the opportunity to taste different wines, meet with winemakers, and attend conversations related to wine, primary production, exports of Greek wines, communication, etc.
Additionally, a workshop about wine tourism will be held with the participation of representatives of the political world, university professors, and professionals in the sector.
Artisanal Wineries of Greece (SMOE) was established in 2017 with the main aim of assisting in the development and strengthening of small artisanal wineries.
