An Oscar-qualified festival and taking place in Drama, northeastern Greece, the DISFF for the past 47 years has been serving as a global hub for filmmakers and producers of short films. The festival gived creators the opportunity to network and collaborate to elevate the standards of the short film industry.
“The Drama Festival is considered one of the most important of its kind in Europe, ensuring contestants a chance to claim an Oscar nomination”, the Region of Eastern Macedonia said in its announcement.
Last year, the “ticket” for the Oscar awards was earned by the films Bear Hole (Krysianna Papadakis – Stergios Dinopoulos) and Aqueronte (Manuel Munoz Rivas).
