Foreign Airlines to Resume Flights to Israel Amid Conflict
Air France will resume service to Israel with three weekly flights from Paris to Tel Aviv from January 24.
France’s flag carrier is the latest airline to end its suspension during Israel’s war with Palestinian group Hamas.
A spokesperson for the carrier said on Tuesday that flights from Paris to Tel Aviv will be carried out with Airbus A350 aircraft, international press reports said.
Lufthansa Group also this week also announced that its airlines would resume flights to Israel.
According to reports, Lufthansa airline will operate four weekly flights from Frankfurt, and three weekly flights from Munich to and from Tel Aviv; SWISS will fly five times weekly between Zurich and Tel Aviv; and Austrian Airlines will run eight weekly connections to Tel Aviv via Vienna.
Moreover, British Airways, LOT, Vueling and Ryanair are also expected to resume flights to Israel this month.
Media reports highlight that airlines will retract their decision to restart service if the security situation worsens.
Foreign airlines had halted flights to Israel following the Israel-Hamas war that began on October 7, 2023.
