Greece Revamps Subsidized Vacation Program ‘Tourism for All’
The Greek Tourism Ministry presented its updated “Tourism for All 2024” program which offers subsidized holidays for lower-income Greeks and their families.
The renewed program has raised the income requirement to 3,000 euros and the voucher sum to 200 euros from 100 euros. It is more inclusive offering 300-euro vouchers to pensioners under all insurance funds, married or civil union couples with three or more children, and to single and widowed individuals with children; and doubles the amount granted to people with disabilities or families with disabled children from 200 euros to 400 euros.
The platform is expected to open for applications from eligible parties this month. Vouchers ranging between 200 and 400 euros will go to eligible applicants selected by a lottery system after the application procedure closes.
Eligibility based on income criteria:
– individuals without children who have a maximum income of 19,000 euros reaching 29,000 euros for those with three children or more
– families with no children (couples either married or in a civil partnership) up to 31,000 euros
