Grand Hotel Palace Supports Arcturos Brown Bear Sanctuary this Christmas
The Grand Hotel Palace in Thessaloniki this Christmas is supporting Arcturos, the Greek ecological organization whose main activity is the preservation of the brown bear and its habitats.
The hotel’s management is inviting guests to place Arcturos ornaments on the Christmas tree in the reception area. The cost to purchase an ornament is two euros. At the end of the holiday season the hotel will double the amount raised and adopt a wild animal as an act of awareness and active action to protect wildlife and biodiversity.
“The action symbolizes the support of the fight against captivity and is in favor of the well-being of wild animals, but also the effort of Arcturos for the harmonious coexistence of humans and wild animals,” management said.
The Grand Hotel Palace’s adoption will cover part of the food and care expenses of Bradley, a brown bear who lives at the Arcturos sanctuary in the mountain village of Nymfaio in Florina, Western Macedonia.
