Marine Tours Presents its First Report on Sustainable Development
Marine Tours, a pioneer in travel management in Greece with over 40 years of expertise, recently released its first Sustainable Development Report (2022).
Adopting the latest standards of ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) reporting, the 2022 report reassures the company’s commitment to sustainable development.
“For us, sustainability is not just a trend. It’s an intrinsic part of Marine Tour’s mindset since the beginning of its journey,” the company’s management said in an announcement.
The sustainable development strategy of Marine Tours focuses on comprehensive goals and action plans in governance, environmental and social areas.
More specifically, it aspires to create a new example of responsible governance for its industry as it promotes the empowerment of its people. It focuses on its positive impact on the environment and society and on excellent cooperation with its partners throughout the value chain of its activity, with the aim of influencing them towards the same sustainable goals.
All of the strategic priorities have the company’s customers at their core, aiming to provide them with more sustainable tourism and traveler experiences, but also to support, with its expertise and services, their own sustainable goals.
Commenting on the release of the company’s sustainability report, Marine Tours CEO Konstantinos Oikonomou said 2022 marks a milestone year in the long history of Marine Tours.
“Specializing in business travel management, we can confidently say that sustainability is more than just a journey. It is the only way forward. In this context, we are particularly happy as well as proud to present our first Sustainable Development Report, as in this way, we contribute in practice to the common effort to create those conditions that will ensure a more sustainable future for all,” he said.
