Hotel Grande Bretagne Holds Traditional Christmas Tree Lighting Event
The Hotel Grande Bretagne in Athens on Monday kicked off the holiday season with its traditional Christmas tree lighting event in its lobby.
The ceremony featured Christmas carols performed by the children’s choir of the educational institution “Themistoklis”. Representatives from the non-profit civil partnership “Together for Children” were also in attendance, providing guests with information about their significant initiatives.
As with each passing year, the towering 7.5-meter Christmas tree stole the show, adorned with stunning garlands, unique ornaments and over 10,000 twinkling lights, casting a luminous festive glow throughout the lobby.
Amidst the holiday ambiance, guests savored the moment, exchanging warm wishes and enjoying the debut of the hotel’s new Christmas video (see below).
As a socially responsible entity, the Grande Bretagne and King George hotels continue their special fundraising campaign.
Starting from December 1 and for ten months, an additional 2 euros will be contributed to each bill issued at the GB Roof Garden and Tudor Hall restaurants, with the consent of customers. These proceeds will be donated to support the “Together for Children” association in its pioneering efforts, dedicated to establishing contemporary educational spaces in public schools situated in remote areas of Greece.
The Grande Bretagne and King George hotels are owned and controlled respectively by Lampsa Hellenic Hotels S.A, subsidiary company of Laskaridis group, and managed by Marriott International, Inc.
