ONOMA Hotel Holds First Silent Disco Party in Thessaloniki
ONOMA Hotel, a five star hotel in Thessaloniki, offering smart, personalized experiences, recently held the Greek city’s first ever Silent Disco Party, an event where people dance to music listened to on wireless headsets.
Taking part on the sidelines of the Philoxenia 2023 tourism exhibition, the Silent Disco Party saw the attendance of a number of the hotel’s partners, friends and tourism professionals.
During the party, each guest wore headsets and – with the simple push of a button – selected their choice of music, from funk and soul to disco tunes and rock songs, which was being played by two DJs.
“The party lasted until the early hours of the morning and we’re certain that both the residents of the hotel and the neighbors were not disturbed,” the management of ONOMA Hotel said in an announcement.
Fun Fact: The first silent disco parties are said to have started in the United States in the middle of the last decade. However, Japan is said to have hosted the first party with headsets but without giving partygoers the option to choose the music in 1969. These days, such events attract crowds of people to huge events and festivals worldwide.
Located in a hub of downtown Thessaloniki, the eight-storey ONOMA Hotel has a capacity of 83 rooms and a total of 164 beds. The five-star hotel is a member of the Anatolia Hospitality Group owned by the Chrysochoidis family.
The hotel is known for its innovative concept as it calls its guests by their first name and offers personalized in-room experiences depending on interests, hobbies, tastes and desires. All rooms at ONOMA are ‘smart’ and can get upgraded into experience areas with rock, wine, fitness, design and 10 more concepts.
