Star Alliance Opens New Paris Lounge at Charles de Gaulle Airport
Star Alliance, the world’s largest airline alliance, recently opened its second lounge at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport in Terminal 1.
The new lounge offers enhanced amenities and comfort for First and Business Class passengers, Star Alliance Gold status customers, United Club, and Air Canada Maple Leaf Club members traveling from gates 10 to 38.
Covering some 1,300 square meters and accommodating over 300 guests, the new lounge is conveniently located airside after immigration and security controls.
“We’re very proud to present our new Paris lounge, which is thoughtfully designed to meet the needs of the modern frequent traveler,” said Star Alliance CEO Theo Panagiotoulias.
The lounge offers unique runway views and an abundance of natural light, thanks to a glass façade running the length of the lounge. It combines modern design with local elements, featuring wall moldings, archways, and black and white photographs of the Eiffel Tower.
Key features include a Welcome Bar offering various beverages, a Wine Bar with wines from master winemaker Gerard Bertrand in the South of France, and a Tea Salon with an assortment from around the world. For business travelers looking for a quieter workspace, private work cabins and secluded nooks are available.
“Our new Paris lounge expands the count of Star Alliance branded lounges to seven worldwide and takes the airport lounge experience to new heights,” said Christian Draeger, Star Alliance’s Vice President for Customer Experience.
Also available are options for relaxation and refreshment, including a well-lit Winter Garden, a spacious outdoor courtyard, and well-appointed shower suites.
The new lounge was designed by architecture firm Gensler that was also behind the award-winning Star Alliance Los Angeles airport lounge in 2013.
Currently, 20 Star Alliance member carriers operate from Paris – CDG, offering 464 weekly departures to 34 destinations in 22 countries.
Founded in 1997, the Star Alliance network is the world’s first truly global airline alliance, focused on providing global reach, worldwide recognition, and seamless service to its customers.
