Lamway’s Partner Hotels See Increase in Visitors, Revenue in 2023
The 2023 tourism season for the hotels in the portfolio of Lamway Hotel Management Group is coming to a close with great success, leaving behind excellent results.
According to a company announcement, Lamway’s partner hotels recorded an increase in visitor numbers and overall annual revenue despite this year’s challenging tourism season – especially in specific destinations.
Paros and Antiparos were the company’s star destinations this year as partner hotels recorded an increase in average occupancy of around 30 percent compared to 2022. On the other hand, Lamway’s partners on Mykonos and Santorini recorded a slight drop of around 3- 5 percent in average occupancy.
Challenges this season included difficulty of finding qualified personnel, increase in air fares, price increases in restaurants in local markets and also the unpredictable weather phenomena (wildfires and flash floods) that affected many areas of Greece.
“However, Lamway Hotel Management Group, showing its absolute dedication to providing high-quality services, as well as extending the tourism season, ensured overall – as a group – satisfactory financial results, with an increase in revenue reaching 30 percent,” the company said.
Strategy for 2024
Looking ahead, Lamway announced that its strategy for 2024, designed to face any new challenges of the global economy, includes a rational pricing policy adapted to the market in both the accommodation and catering sectors.
“We also aim to conclude new partnerships with OTAs, invest in wellness services and focus on reducing operational costs by applying the ‘green transition’ model to the group’s hotels,” the company said.
Regarding new partnerships, Lamway this year added new accommodations on Paros and Santorini, such as Pnoi Hotel Paros, Orasea Villa Paros and Serapias Suites (Santorini), to its portfolio.
Also, Lamway’s newest member hotel, the Aqualia Hotel, on Poros (Argosaronic), with a capacity of 52 rooms, will open its doors in 2024.
Moreover, Lamway’s future plans include the launch of new long-term commercial hotel leases on the islands, but also in mountainous parts of Greece.
