Mabrian Reveals Top 5 LGTBQ+ Friendly European Destinations
Travel intelligence leader Mabrian recently conducted an analysis of more than 55 million hotel reviews throughout Europe to unveil the top five LGBTQ+ friendly destinations based on high traveler satisfaction.
The research leveraged spontaneous reviews from major travel opinion portals and identified opinions coming from or of relevance to the LGBTQ+ traveler segment. It analyzed their sentiment using Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques based on Artificial Intelligence to find out which cities across Europe offered exceptional service quality and acceptance.
According to the results, the top five European LGBTQ+ friendly destinations that have shown exceptional service quality and inclusivity, making them highly desirable destinations for LGBTQ+ travelers, are, in descending order: Berlin, Madrid, Barcelona, Lisbon, and Paris.
“The LGBTQ+ segment is both significant in size and profitable, making it an area of special interest for the hotel sector. In order to attract this segment, hotels strive to provide exceptionally high standards of quality and personalized attention,” said Carlos Cendra, Marketing Director at Mabrian.
Due to their above-average consumption patterns, the LGBTQ+ segment is in high demand by many tourist destinations. Furthermore, LGBTQ+ travelers are less reliant on seasonal patterns and exhibit greater flexibility in their movement, enabling destinations to promote tourism throughout the year.
