Ukrainian citizens entering Greece on flights from abroad are not obliged to fill out the Passenger Locator Form (PLF) before their trip, the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority (HCAA) said in an emergency aviation directive on Saturday.

The PLF was introduced in the summer of 2020 as a mandatory requirement for travel and admission into Greece as a way to control the spread of Covid-19 in the country. The PLF allows for contact tracing of visitors who test positive while in the country.

The aviation directive has immediate effect and aims to simplify the entry requirements for Ukrainians fleeing the war.

It is noted that the Greek government has announced that the PLF will be abolished in general for all travelers entering the country as of March 15.
