The Greek city of Thessaloniki is presented as an ideal nearby city break destination for Romanian travelers in an extensive feature recently published by National Geographic Traveler Romania.
Journalist Cătălin Gruiea and his crew recently visited the northern port city as part of a familiarization (fam) trip organized by the Thessaloniki Tourism Organization (TTO) in collaboration with the office of the Greek National Tourism Organization’s (GNTO) office in Romania.
Gruiea presented Thessaloniki as a city of many quality features, intense nightlife, unique gastronomy, numerous attractions and activities that every visitor should enjoy.
GNTO organized the fam trip aiming to enhance Thessaloniki’s image and stimulate road tourism.
National Geographic Traveler Romania belongs to Burda Media. One of the leading travel magazines in Romania, it counts 65,000 readers and a circulation of 11,000 copies.
According to the GNTO, the readers of the National Geographic Traveler include senior executives of the Romanian tourism market.
Furthermore, its readers travel more compared to the average traveler and spend more nights in every destination.
