Ethiopian Airlines Resumes Flights to Athens

Ethiopian Airlines, the largest aviation group in Africa, has resumed flights to Athens, the airline’s General Sales Agent (GSA) in Greece, Gold Star Aviation, recently announced.

Ethiopian flights to Addis Ababa (ΕΤ 761) will depart Athens every Sunday at 02.05 and reach Ethiopia’s capital city at 07:15. The return flight (ET 760) will depart Addis Ababa every Friday at 23.00 and arrive in the Greek capital at 04.00.

Following the lifting of Covid-19 travel restrictions, Ethiopian is resuming flights to a number of destinations with enhanced safety measures.

“As countries continue to open-up their airports for passenger arrival, Ethiopian will announce list of these destinations in due course,” the airline said.

Facemasks are mandatory for travel on Ethiopian flights and travelers are requested to follow destination entry requirements such as health certificates and fill health declaration forms if required. Up to date destination entry requirements can be found on the airline’s website.

“As countries continue to relax travel restrictions, Ethiopian is ready to increase frequencies to accommodate the demand by focusing on the wellbeing of customers and staff,” the airline said.

It should be noted that given the nature of the Covid-19 situation, changes may occur to Ethiopian’s flight schedule.
