Russia’s MITT 2020 Travel Fair Postponed

The Moscow International Travel and Tourism Exhibition – MITT 2020 will not take place between March 17-19 and will be postponed to a later date, due the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), Hyve Group, the expo’s organizer, announced on Saturday.

“In the past few weeks, we have been working to provide the safest environment for our staff and customers and in line with federal guidelines. We took all possible measures to ensure the sanitary safety of our participants and visitors. But, to our great regret, the situation is developing rapidly and as of today, March 14, has reached a critical level,” Hyve Group said.

Scheduled to take place this year at the Russia’s largest exhibition center Crocus Expo, MITT annually attracts around 22,200 visitors and 1,500 exhibiting companies and organisations from all corners of the world showcasing their travel opportunities to the Russian outbound market.

“As a socially responsible company, we care not only about the business of our participants and visitors, but also about their health… We express our sincere sympathy and support to those countries that have suffered the most from coronavirus and hope that all common measures taken will normalize the situation,” the organizer said.
