Lipsi Island Launches New Website and Smartphone App for Travelers

Using modern technology, the Municipality of Lipsi recently launched its new website and a smartphone application for travelers, offering information on the island’s main sites of interest.

More specifically, the Municipality has introduced its visitors to the Lipsi Guide, a new application for smartphones, offering useful information on the area’s attractions; beaches; accommodation, transport and gastronomy options; events and activities.

The app is available in English and in Greek and can be downloaded through the Google Playstore and Apple’s Appstore. Travelers can also use the Lipsi Guide QR code for mobile phones.

Meanwhile, Lispsi has launched its new website, www.lipsi.gov.gr, featuring modern design, attractive images and sufficient info in English and in Greek on the island’s beauties, history, traditions, events, local festivals – also known as panigiria in Greek – and products.

The website also includes an application for hiking enthusiasts with detailed maps and information on the trails of Lipsi.

“Our aim is to highlight our excellent tourism services and authentic hospitality, through technology and innovation,” the Mayor of Lipsi Fotis Maggos said.
