TÜV Hellas Gives Certification to the New Lifts of Athens’ Four Seasons Hotel

TÜV Hellas (TÜV Nord) has carried out the inspection and certification process of the 19 new lifts of the Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens, which opened its doors in March

The lifts are among the hotel’s renovated facilities and were installed by MITSULIFT. They are in line with the new EN 81-20 and EN 81-50 standards, in accordance to the European Directive 2014/33/EU.

“The inspection and certification by an independent recognized organization is mandatory throughout the European Union for all lifts, old and new, installed in houses, apartment buildings and business facilities,” the company said in an announcement.

According to TÜV Hellas, lift inspection is not only a formal legal obligation but also a thorough examination of the effectiveness of all safety measures that aim to protect the users and the technical staff.

A leading certification organization, TÜV Hellas since 2000 has inspected and certified more than 40,000 lifts throughout Greece – at major Olympic projects, large hotels and hospitals, as well as in private sector projects.

Located in Vouliagmeni on the Athens Riviera, the Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens includes 300 rooms, three private beaches, three pools, five tennis courts, watersports facilities, a helipad and a Spa.
