Civitel Creta Beach Supports ‘Clean up the Med’ Campaign

The Civitel Creta Beach resort, a member of Civitel Hotels & Resorts, has joined the “Clean up the Med” campaign, and recently held a cleanup operation on the beach of Ammoudara on the island of Crete.

“Clean up the Med” is one of the largest volunteer environmental campaigns, organized by the Legambiente organization in 21 Mediterranean countries, with the aim to raise awareness on the pollution of the Mediterranean Sea.

Volunteers, hotel employees and guests recently cleaned a part of Ammoudara beach in front of the Civitel Creta Beach, and shared the group’s vision for the implementation of environmentally friendly initiatives that safeguard the natural environment for citizens, visitors and future generations.

According to an announcement by Civitel Hotels & Resorts, environmental protection is a priority for all of Civitel’s member hotels. “We maintain and develop an environmental management system aiming to constantly improve our environmental performance and minimize the impact on the environment through procedures that are defined by the principles of sustainable development,” the group said.
