Creta Maris: Brussels Gets a Taste of Cretan Gastronomy
The Creta Maris Beach Resort presented Crete’s tourism offerings and gastronomy during the Brussels Holiday Fair 2018 Salon des Vacances, which took place in Belgium during February 1-4 in the presence of Greek Tourism Minister Εlena Kountoura.
During the two-day event visitors had the opportunity to see and taste popular Cretan recipes and flavors. On the first day, Creta Maris offered recipes with sea bass and lamb. On the second day, the resort presented the Cretan “ntakos”, which is made with rusks, tomatoes, feta cheese and dried oregano, and “kaltsounia”, the popular pastries made with cheese and honey.
“The authentic, traditional, local products that Creta Maris has chosen to serve in its restaurants, really make a difference; they are the reason why our guests love Cretan cuisine,” said Creta Maris executive chef Dimitris Makrakis.
The resort held the event in collaboration with the Region of Crete and the office of the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) in the Netherlands, which is responsible also for Brussels and Luxembourg.
The Creta Maris Beach Resort is located in Hersonissos on Crete. It is part of the Metaxas Group of Companies and has been operating since 1975. It includes 680 rooms, suites and bungalows, six restaurants, seven bars, seven swimming pools, a gym, a hammam spa, the Asterias Children’s Club and spacious facilities for outdoor and indoor activities.
