Countdown to 2nd Panhellenic Place Marketing & Branding Meet in Larissa
Organizers are finishing off the last details ahead of the 2nd Panhellenic Place Marketing and Place Branding Conference to take place at the Municipal Theater of Larissa, central Greece, on March 31-April 2.
Organized by the Thessaly University Department of Planning and Regional Development in collaboration with the Larissa Municipality, the 2nd Panhellenic Place Marketing and Place Branding Conference will focus on issues and challenges in the creation and promotion of local economic, tourist and cultural development and strategic planning issues.
”We are doubly pleased both as the town and municipality of Larissa. Firstly, because Larissa is opening up dynamically by organizing major events. Thus, hosting such an important conference that brings together academics, professionals from the areas of tourism, culture, communication and advertising, is very important for our city and secondly, because Larissa is one of the first cities in our country with its own comprehensive strategic marketing plan,’’ said Larissa Mayor Apostolos Kalogiannis.
Academics, members of regional and local administrations, practitioners and decision-makers will share their knowledge and experience during the weekend meeting which will also include parallel events.
“The conference comes to meet demands, concerns and expectations of those who decide to attend. It is addressed to both local government officials and public administration as well as to the business world and the city residents,” said Alex Deffner, chairman of the organizing committee.
