A landmark event for tourism, this year’s conference will focus on the “next day” for Greek tourism entrepreneurs and employees and underline the development strategy the sector should follow in order to overcome the ever-increasing challenges in its effort to remain competitive.

The conference will bring together Greek tourism professionals and experts of the travel industry. Keynote speakers will be Yannis Stournaras, Governor of the Bank of Greece; Margaritis Schinas, Chief Spokesperson of the European Commission; and Yannis Dragasakis, Deputy Prime Minister.

Highlights on the conference will include the presentation of the revised tourism Road Map 2021, the next steps and challenges to achieve goals and strengthen the sector and benefits for Greece and the way to exit the crisis by connecting tourism with other sectors of the Greek economy. Greek business representatives and bodies will participate in the conference’s two panel discussions.

SETE’s 15th Tourism & Development Conference will also incorporate a series of important presentations regarding the promotion and marketing of Greek destinations and tourism products, alternative forms of financing and the importance of including technology in offered or requested tourist experiences.
