Grace Santorini, a member of Grace Hotels Group, has been recognised as Greece’s Leading Luxury Boutique Hotel for 2016 at the 23rd edition of the World Travel Awards, held at the Forte Village Resort in Sardinia, Italy, in early September.
“The World Travel Awards is a global institution and Grace Santorini reached the top in accordance to international standards and criteria. This confirms the high targets we set to offer our quests an unrivaled accommodation experience”, said Lena Livanidou, the Head of Grace Hotels for the region of Mediterranean and Africa.
Established in 1993, the World Travel Awards — hailed as the “Oscars” of the travel industry — acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all sectors of the tourism industry. Today, the awards are recognised across the globe as the most prominent and comprehensive benchmark for excellence in the industry.
“Excellence is a commitment to us and distinctions such as this one make us proud for our hotels and inspire us to evolve their unique character daily, setting new goals and taking on new challenges”, she added.
This is not the first time that Grace Santorini has clinched a World Travel Award. Since 2009 it is consistently included among the top candidates, having repeatedly received honors.
Grace Santorini has a long list of global and national distinctions by acclaimed institutions that acknowledge the ultimate experience it offers visitors.
A hotel with an innovative architectural design, Grace Santorini has been lauded for its natural beauty — Condé Nast Traveler has ranked it among the top 13 hotels in the world — and the culinary experience it offers at the “Santoro” restaurant.
