Those who are still interested in participating in the 5th Athens Half Marathon to be held on Sunday, March 20, in the Greek capital, still have a chance, it was announced at a press conference by the Hellenic Athletics Federation (SEGAS) on Thursday.
Online registrations for the event closed two weeks ago, but SEGAS is accepting on the spot registrations for the Half Marathon until Saturday, March 19, at 8pm, at the Zappeion Megaron where the Half Marathon Expo 2016 is taking place.
In addition to the half marathon course, Sunday’s racing events include a 5K race and a 3K family run (open to families of four and welcomes young runners). The half marathon event also includes a 1,000m race specially designed for people with disabilities and Special Olympics athletes.
The races of the 5th Athens Half Marathon are expected to attract over 18,000 participants.
