Creta Maris Beach Resort on Crete has recently been awarded the prestigious TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence Award for 2014, which honors hospitality excellence and given only to establishments that consistently achieve outstanding traveler reviews on TripAdvisor.

“This award is proof that hard work brings positive reviews and satisfied customers,” the management of Creta Maris said in an announcement.

The Tripadvisor certificate is extended to qualifying businesses all over the world that rank in the top 10 percent worldwide for traveler feedback.

The annual Certificate of Excellence has rigorous standards and requires that businesses must earn an overall rating of 4 out of 5, as reviewed by travelers on TripAdvisor. Also, TripAdvisor only awards hotels that have been listed on the TripAdvisor site for a minimum of 12 months and takes into consideration the quantity of reviews during that time frame.

Creta Maris Beach Resort is part of Metaxas Group of Companies and has been operating since 1975. It has a capacity of 675 rooms, suites and bungalows, six restaurants, seven bars, seven swimming pools, a gym, hammam spa, children’s club and many areas for outdoor and indoor activities for children and adults.
