Germanwings Cancels 700 Flights Due To Pilot Strike
Due to the announced strike of the German pilots union Cockpit from midnight on the morning of Wednesday 2 April up until 23:59 on the evening of Friday 4 April 2014 at all German airports, cancellations of flights operated by Germanwings are expected.
Out of the 1,332 Germanwings flights that were scheduled for the three-day period, some 700 will be canceled and more than 600 flights will be carried out normally.
Germanwings will notify passengers who had registered their details during the booking process via sms or e-mail. All flights cancelled due to the strike can be rebooked or cancelled free of charge, irrespective of the fare bracket they were booked in. This can be done both before or after the scheduled time of departure of your flight. The deadline for any changes or cancellations is 11th April 2014.
