From 21 to 24 November, the “heart” of tourism will beat this year at the Thessaloniki International Exhibition Center, at Philoxenia, the largest tourism exhibition in the country.
Philoxenia, with a strong extravert character and approximately 100 hosted buyers from around the world that will include large tour operators and travel agencies from abroad, aspires to become this year’s creative meeting point for businesses and bodies related to tourism and to provide information on the industry’s new trends and wealth of Greek destinations.
The Greek enterprises of the tourism sector will have the opportunity to come into contact with foreign trade visitors who will open doors for partnerships and agreements.
However, apart from the international element at Philoxenia, the Greek representation from all corners of the country will be intense, with the majority of participating regions showcasing the virtues of their areas and inviting the international tourism market to experience them.
This year’s parallel events at Philoxenia will include a conference on Religious-Pilgrimage Tourism. This is a form of tourism that is gaining momentum in our country and particularly in Northern Greece, where many religious monuments stand.
TIF-Helexpo, consistent to its strategy to internationalize exhibitions, “opens” Philoxenia to even more markets and trade visitors, while promoting the country’s tourism prospect, which in recent years has emerged as Greece’s greatest advantage.
This year, tourism, with the great increase it has presented, proved that it can become one of the key pillars to overcome the crisis. And everyone should help towards this direction.
This is exactly the direction TIF – Helexpo is following with much determination.
