Ethiopian Airlines Takes Delivery Of Sixth 737-800 Sky Interior Aircraft
Ethiopian Airlines received a brand new next generation Boeing 737-800 with Sky Interior on 31 May, 2013. This is the sixth of the ten ordered Boeing 737-800NG Sky Interior.
The addition of this aircraft will bring the number of the total fleet to 58.
“The addition of this brand new aircraft is a continuation of our fleet renewal and growth to ensure a mix of the youngest and most modern aircraft,” said Tewolde Gebremariam, CEO of Ethiopian.
This Boeing 737-800 Sky Interior aircraft will join the most modern aircraft in Ethiopian fleet such as the Dreamliner, 777-200LR and Bombardier Q-400.
The Boeing Sky Interior has new cove lighting and curving architecture that create a distinctive entry way.
Passengers on Ethiopian 737s will enjoy a more open cabin and a soft blue sky overhead simulated by light-emitting diode (LED) lighting, which is easily controlled by a touch screen control board.
The aircraft also has new features such as modern overhead bins, advanced aerodynamics, maximum reliability, efficiency, passenger appeal and optimized engine design that adds up extra comfort to passengers.
