Influx In Russian Visitors Expected
Changes in the international climate and improvements at the Greek consulates in Russia raise hopes that Greece could see a major increase in Russian visitors to Greece this year, when compared with 1999.
Alexis Hatzis, the director at the Hellenic Tourism Organization’s offices in Moscow, says he expects a much better year. He says not only is the Kossovo crisis is over but also the Greek government has agreed to carry the cost of hiring part-time help to issue visas.
