SETE President Yiannis Paraschis referred to 2023 as a milestone year for Greek tourism, while opening the confederation’s annual conference on Tuesday.
Under certain conditions, revenue from Greek tourism by 2030 could rise to €27 billion from its record figure of €18 billion in 2019, according to the INSETE research body.

The 16th Tourism & Development Conference of SETE, under the title “Greek Tourism: Development & Sustainability” will be held on 16-17 October, at Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, Athens.
In order for the Greek tourism sector to continue on its path to growth and remain competitive, investments in infrastructure amounting to 6.5 billion euros are required through to 2021, according to the Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE).
