Tourism Study Says Sector Prime Future Employer

By 2010 the Greek tourism sector could create some 150,000 new jobs and thus cover 35% of today's unemployed, according to a study released last month by the Association of Greek Tourism Enterprises (SETE).

More Funds To Be Spent On Greek Tourism Promotion

Economy and Finance Deputy Minister Christos Pachtas approved credits worth 32 million euros (11 billion drachmas) to finance a marketing campaign for Greek tourism, domestically and abroad. That is twice the figure spent last year, the minister said.
