Apollo Resort Art_Escape Room_1The Apollo Resort Art Hotel, located in Kyparissia, Messinia, recently completed the creation of a live-action escape room on its premises.

The live-action escape room concept, which has taken off in recent years in cities across the globe, is a physical adventure game for groups of 2-6 thrill seekers who are locked in a room and have to use elements of the room to solve a series of puzzles and escape within a set time limit.

What makes the escape room of the Apollo Resort Art Hotel stand out is its direct reference to the area’s local production and products as the room’s theme “Immortality” is focused on local wine and history.

Once in the escape room, the players are requested to find — in just 60 minutes —  the unique wine that will offer them “immortality” and of course the key to escape from the room.

The hotel is among the first worldwide that offers such entertainment on its premises.

According to the owner of the Apollo Resort Art Hotel, Georgia Christodoulou, the new service is an effort to present something new and fresh to hotel guests.

Apollo Resort Art Hotel“I have daily concerns about the general economic crisis and the financial situation of Greek tourism and since I believe that challenges create new opportunities, I decided to invest in this new concept”, Ms Christodoulou said.

“The presence of the Costa Navarino complex near us has created an added value to the whole region and this gives me extra power and courage”, she added.

According to TripAdvisor, the Apollo Resort Art Hotel ranks as the best in Kyparissia – Kalonero and fifth in Messinia.

The hotel has also been honored as one of the three most successful enterprises, among thousands in Greece, at the Cosmote “Success Story” competition in 2013.
