SETE Reaches Out to Tourism Pros through Regional Offices
Reaching out to local sector professionals, the Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE) held its 2nd regional event on the island of Corfu on Monday, with the aim to present the highlights of its “Roadmap 2021 for Greek Tourism”.
Jointly organized with the Region of the Ionian Islands, the event included the presentation of SETE initiatives, research results as well as its long-term promotional strategy for the region.
SETE President Andreas Andreadis referred to the main categories of the tourism product — sea and sun, nautical tourism, city break, congress tourism, cultural and medical — ways of tapping into new target markets, policies to attract investment and incentives to get Greek entrepreneurs to improve the standards of their businesses.
“We will continue to actively support the Greek economy and entrepreneurs throughout Greece. This said, the regional office of the Ionian Islands will play an essential role in the local community as a strategic advisor to the region, local authorities and businesses and to the tourism community,” Mr Andreadis said, referring to SETE’s network of regional offices in Central Greece, the Ionian Islands, Central Macedonia, the Peloponnese and the Region of the South Aegean.
SETE, the country’s leading tourism body, is currently organizing similar events across Greece. Next on the agenda are to be held in Thessaloniki on June 16, and on Rhodes on July 3. The first regional event was held in Lamia.
