Mount Parnassos Events For World Snow Day 2014
Celebrations for World Snow Day on Mount Parnassos, Greece, have been running the whole week and will reach their peak this weekend 18-19 January.
A series of events will take place at the Parnassos Ski Center that will include a giant slalom tournament, ski contests, snow sleigh contests for children and their families, the making of the largest Greek Snowman and movie screenings.
The snow sports events are co-organized by Parnassos Ski Center, the Greek Mountaineering Association of Athens and the Ski School Pappos – Baldoumis and held under the auspices of the International Ski Federation (Fédération Internationale de Ski-FIS).

Saturday 18 January
From 10:00 – 11: 30 & 13:00 – 14-30
Ski and snowboard lessons
10:00 – Start of Giant Slalom Tournament
11:00 – Start of making the largest Greek Snowman
11:00 – Start of snow sleigh contests
14:30 – End of snow sports races
Also, at 18:30, a presentation of the FIS World Snow Day 2014 program will be given in the projections hall of the Municipality of Arachova, followed by an introduction to personalities and trends of the world alpine scene at 18:45 (acquaintance with novice methods of ski lessons by Sandi Murovec and presentation of the novice system of ski teaching: UPS Sandi Murovec). At 18:55, the film The Edge will be screened.
