WTM 2012 Industry Report
One of the most popular topics at WTM 2012 was that half of all UK holidaymakers admitted the increase in Air Passenger Duty (APD) next year will have a negative impact on their travel plans. More than a quarter (26%) said they will only take short haul breaks next year instead of long haul holidays as a result of the increases, while 19% said they would be forced to reduce the number of overseas holidays they take.

WTM Global Trends Report
It was mentioned at WTM 2012 that the fast-growing, affluent middle classes from the BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India and China) can help Europe’s travel industry tackle the Eurozone’s economic woes. Also did you know that more hotels are offering “digital detox” holidays to help stressed consumers to relax and unwind without the tyranny of texts and emails?
Check all this out through the WTM Global Trends Report, produced in association with Euromonitor International, that presents an overview of the leading new trends emerging within the industry, focusing on key regions and topics.
