The 6th Elafonisos Eco Week event, organized by the Elafonisos Ecological Association and dedicated to promoting sustainable development and environmental conservation on the captivating island of Elafonisos. From May 29th to June 4th, join for a week filled with inspiration, knowledge-sharing, and collaborative action to shape a greener and more sustainable future.
This year’s event will be honoured by the presence of Prince Albert II of Monaco, who will be the guest of honour of the event. The well-known and warm environmental action of Prince Albert II is expected to significantly enhance this year’s Elafonisos Eco Week.
The visit of Prince Albert II of Monaco is supported by the Consulate of Monaco in Greece.
The event will include a number of activities, such as the Symposium on Eco-Sustainability, the Sustainable Development Summit and the Eco-Art Exhibition. The Ecological Sustainability Symposium will bring together local stakeholders, academics, artists, business people, entrepreneurs, officials and all those interested in finding solutions that promote the protection of the environment and endangered ecosystems, such as those of the islands. The Sustainable Development Summit is a meeting of local authorities, public authorities, associations and other stakeholders who will commit themselves to taking measures to protect the environment in a public ceremony.
Eco Week will also include an Eco-Gastronomy event, where food entrepreneurs will present sustainability-based options. In parallel, the 2nd Eco Mayors’ Summit will take place, where mayors from different regions of Greece will share the results of their past sustainability actions and present their future plans. The Ecological Art Exhibition is an experimental space where ecological concerns are expressed through art.
