Iberia Invites Customers To Bid For Upgrades To Business Class
Iberia is offering its customers the chance to bid for upgrades to available Business seats in certain flights via the Spanish airline’s website.
The innovative scheme is part of Iberia’s new commercial policy, which is designed to increase revenues, while also improving customers’ travel experience – the two chief aims of the company’s Transformation Plan.
Once they have booked their Tourist Class seats, customers can enter their record locator on the “Manage your booking” page and register their bids for an upgrade within the price range indicated for the flight.
Bids can be modified or cancelled up to five days before the departure date. Thereafter, the customers will be notified, if they have been awarded the upgrades.
This new way of marketing upgrades applies to all holders of Tourist Class tickets for particular flights, whether they have booked them from the Iberia website, the Serviberia call center, or travel agencies.
The scheme will allow many passengers to fly Business Class at a very advantageous price, enjoying all the airport and on-board services pertaining to premium passengers, including access to VIP lounges, check-in at dedicated counters, fast-track through the security control, priority luggage delivery, etc.
