Ministry Announces “Tourism for All” Discount Vacation Program For Greeks
This season’s “Tourism for All” discounted vacation program for Greeks will run as of July 2013 until May 2014 under a budget of five million euros, according to an announcement made today, 20 June, by the Greek Tourism Ministry.
The program provides vouchers for social groups with mid and low income to take holidays in tourism establishments everywhere in Greece. It includes discounts at Greek hotels and other lodges of all categories that obtain the GNTO seal.
Tourism for All 2013-2014
The “Tourism for All 2013-2014″ program will be divided into two sub-programs through which 72,000 vouchers will be distributed to beneficiaries (62,000 individual vouchers to workers and 10,000 to pensioners that are senior citizens or have a disability).
The first sub-program offers holidays from July 2013 until December 2013 and the second will run from February 2014 until 31 May 2014.
Eligibility requirements
Eligible to take part in the discounted vacation program are those who have a yearly income of 16,000 euros (individuals), families with a yearly income of 28,000 euros (plus 1,500 euros for each child) and multi-child families with a yearly income of 35,000 euros (plus 1,500 euros for each child).
There are no income guidelines for senior citizens.
Vouchers will be available from the Citizen Service Centers (KEP).
