Due to foreign exchange bank restrictions, Greek airline AEGEAN is suspending flights to/from Tehran, effective from October 11, 2018, until further notice.
Iranian airline Mahan Air has announced it will operate two flights a week to Athens in May and is also considering the launch of direct flights to Crete and Thessaloniki.
The tourism ministry is planning to establish 49 new Hellenic Tourism Organization offices around the world, in addition to the current 23 international offices, Tourism Development Minister Dimitris Avramopoulos said during a press conference called last month.
