Minoan To Place Seven New Vessels In Greek Waters

In less than two years, Crete-based Minoan Lines plans to accept delivery of at least seven new fast-ferry vessels. A number of these vessels are slated for routes to European ports, while others will replace older vessels on basic Greek routes.

Crete-based ferry operator Minoan Lines announced a substantial increase in pre-tax profits for 1999. Minoan said last year's revenue was up 7.1% against the year before and profits before taxes were up 65.5%.
