Thessaloniki welcomed a 116% rise in overnight stays from Turkey last year which contributed to a 14.75% rise in overall night stays in the Greek city.
The Thessaloniki Tourism Organization has carried out more than 100 marketing activities in 2019 for the promotion of the city to its target tourism markets.
New flights connecting Thessaloniki’s Macedonia Airport - currently run by Fraport Greece - with popular destinations in Europe and Asia are expected to launch in 2018.
