The Greek Tourism Ministry is casting the spotlight on Western Greece as part of its ongoing promotion plan which includes introducing lesser-known destinations.
The Region of Western Greece is in the lead in terms of tourism-related revenue due to increased visits and overnight stays in the second quarter of 2018.
Central Macedonia, the South Aegean Region, Attica, Crete and the Ionian Islands account for 84 percent of visits to Greece, according to a survey by INSETE.
