HATTA Wins Ruling on Commission Fees

Greece's Competition Commission fined Greece's two biggest airlines, Olympic and Aegean, a total of 210,000 euros for complicity in reducing the commission paid to travel agents, from 9.25 percent to 6.94 percent, on tickets for domestic flights.

HATTA Sides With Traveling Public

An Athens court recently ruled in favor of an injunction brought by the Hellenic Association of Tourism and Travel Agents against the Media & Travel Group, which distributes Travel Card, advertised as offering discount accommodation in over 300 hotels throughout Greece.

Greek-Turkish Tourism Agreement Signed

Turkish Tourism Minister Guldal Aksit arrived in Athens last month to sign a tourism cooperation agreement with Greek Development Minister Akis Tsohatzopoulos. The agreement includes efforts to promote a common tourism product to markets such as North America, China and Russia.
