The Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) has agreed to implement a program of cooperation with eight major tour operators in Germany, with a total budget of nearly 450,000 euros, the Greek press said recently.
A 30-percent-drop forecast for bookings was made last month for this tourism season by Greek tourism professionals, during a workshop held by Germany's leading travel industry media group FVW Mediengruppe in Athens.
German bookings data for holidays in Greece so far this year give a mixed picture, officials said at last month's ITB international travel show in Berlin, one of the world's largest.
