Greece and Qatar are aiming to launch a long-term cooperation in culture, which among other things would include the establishment of a “Greece-Qatar Year of Culture”.
While recently in Los Angeles, Alternate Tourism Minister Elena Kountoura discussed ways to promote Greece during meetings with investors, tour operators and US film industry professionals.
The Greek National Tourism Organization (EOT) plans to open an office in China shortly. EOT's secretary general, Evgenios Yiannakopoulos announced last month that the move would help Greece to tap into that country's growing outgoing tourism market.
