Although the Greek economy is showing signs of recovery, the uncertainty due to emerging Covid-19 virus mutations and their potential impact on tourism pose a risk, says the Bank of Greece.
The Greek hotel sector in the 2010-2017 period contributed to Greece's economy in terms of employment, the Bank of Greece (BoG) said in its Interim Report on Monetary Policy 2018.
Revenue from Greek tourism increased by 13.8 percent year-on-year to 557 million euros during the January-March period, according to the Bank of Greece.
