The 1st Training National Platform ESN Greece will be held on 28-29 March in Athens by the ESN TEI Athens club.
The Erasmus Student Network (ESN) is the largest, voluntary student network in Europe. It was established in 1989, just two years after the beginning of the homonym student exchange program. Network’s basic principle, which since then acts and developed on a voluntary basis, is the “Sudents Helping Students”. That principle is actively pursued today by up to 13,500 students in 450 local ESN clubs, in 37 European countries, supporting the same goals, students’ exchange projects representation and the development of the comprehensibility of a different culture.
Active member of this international network is the ESN TEI Athens club, one of the 21 students clubs that compile the ESN Greece. The ESN Greece is a voluntary, non-governmental, non-profit network that aims to help the integration effort of foreign students in the local community. The local clubs operate in Athens, Thessaloniki, Ioannina, Patra, Crete, Lamia, Larissa, Kozani and Komotini, both in Universities and Technological Education Institutes.
The ESN TEI Athens club has undertaken to organize the 1st Training National Platform. The conference will be held at the premises of TEI Athens for two days, on 28-29 March 2015. The participants will be some 100 persons, both by local and abroad clubs.
In Training National Platform (Training NP), representatives of each club in Greece gather for:
• Training the new members.
• Participating in experiential workshops.
• Good practices exchange and knowledge share.
• Training of participants for the Annual General Meeting of ESN.
• Training for the current project on the mobility of disabled people (Exchangeability Project).
• Information on the plan for social, charitable and environmental awareness of Erasmus students (Social Erasmus Project).
